STARS VE Testing:
Our VE testing sessions are held on the fourth Saturday of each month from 9am till 1030am walkins always welcome. Please arrive early so you can aviod disrupting those taking a test. The VE session will be held at Worth Library, located at 6917 W 111th Street, Worth, IL 60482.
PRESENTERS WANTED:
Do you have any ideas for a presentation for the next meeting? Are you willing to make a presentation on a topic that is interesting, to yourself and the club? Then please drop an email to the club, or bring up the topic at a meeting.
We want our club to grow and make a difference in the community.
WEEKLY NETS:
All licensed Amateur Radio Operators are welcome to check into our general Sunday night net at 7:00 PM. Or our weekly Skywarn net on Wednesday nights at 7:00PM.
You need not be a member of STARS to check in. All are welcome.
MEETING LOCATION AND TIME:
STARS club meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month at 7:30 PM. The meetings are held at the Worth Library, located at 6917 W 111th Street, Worth, IL 60482.
Meetings are open to the public and all Amateur Radio Operstors. Meetings generally include a presenation on some subject of Amateur Radio or Community Service.

VHF/UHF REPEATER:
STARS owns and operates two repeaters. Our VHF repeater operates on a frequency of 146.640 MHz with a negative off set of 600Hz using a PL access tone of 107.2 Hz. Our UHF repeater operates on a frequency of 442.67 MHz with a positive off set of 5MHz and a PL access tone of 131.8 Hz.
Both repeaters are located on the roof of Metro South Hospital in Blue Island, IL, with the call sign of W9SRC.
STARS MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:
You must have a valid license in Amateur Radio to be a member of STARS, complete the club's membership application and provide a copy of your current Amateur Radio license.
Please send your completed membership application, a copy of your Amatuer Radio license, together with a check for a year's dues to the STARS mailing address. You are also welcome to sign up at a meeting. You may make a cash payment in person at that time. Prospective members are encouraged to have a sponsor and to attend at least one or more meetings.
Membership dues are $25 dollars per year, $20 per year for those 65 and older, and are due June 1st, of every year.

CW PRACTICE NET
Thats right friends. Jay AA9KH will once again have his CW Practice Net every Tuesday at 7PM. You need not know CW to check into the net. This was a great hit last fall. Let's so it again.

IRON DOG
October 20 & 21, 2012 is Canine 2 Iron Dog Competition. In the past years it has been STARS pleasure to help with this competition. We need Ham Radio Operators at every station . To relay information back to home base.
